How To Get More Referrals For Your Accounting Practice

While I’m still in the middle of recovering from a hurricane, I went wandering around on the interweb and picked up a very quick marketing tip for you today, but I think you’ll find it really useful. It’s a simple process, to help you attract more word of mouth referrals, one of the prime goals of every practitioner.

 

Here it am:

  1. Spend a moment thinking about the last time you were so delighted by a product or service, that you wanted to tell everyone.
  2. Next, write down everything about that experience that blew you away. Go into detail. Include the small things as well as the more obvious things.
  3. Then figure out how you can adapt a version of that remarkable experience into your accounting or tax practice.

It may take you some time to figure out how to adapt a remarkable experience in some other industry into an experience that fits into an accounting or tax practice, but it’s well worth it. Get it right and far more of your customers or clients will want to tell everyone about your practice.

And those word of mouth referrals are marketing gold.
