Practice Builder Publishing is an online business, and we automate almost all of our marketing. We have to. It’s just not practical for us to contact each of the almost three-quarters of a million accounting and tax professionals on the various lists we use. It would be cost prohibitive for the small fees we charge for the volume of resources that we produce and distribute.
But, you probably only see marketing automation as an email every now and then. But, there’s a lot more that we do that you don’t see, and there are parts of it that you can do also.
Marketing automation includes things that get us noticed on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Marketing automation includes the publication of our daily newsletter that brings you excerpts from news stories and marketing advice we publish here one Practice Builder Publishing, as well as links to curated stories from around the web.
Marketing automation allows us to deliver emails to you in your time zone at the most opportune time for you to open and read. It allows us to tailor messages to the specific actions that you make when you interact with us.
Marketing automation allows us to manage a client database that includes not only including personalized messages to you, but quite possibly, include your photo, gathered from around the web.
And, we are a small fry in the grand scheme of things.
Basically, I am a one man shop switching back and forth between South Florida and North Georgia currently with resources in Romania, Scotland, Sri Lanka, Southern California, Minnesota and South Georgia. All tied together in code.
And, once the news articles and marketing tips (like this) are written and posted online, the automation goes to work.
Oh there’s more, lots more pieces to the puzzle, but the exciting thing is that we think we got a bit of this automation stuff figured out. And, we’re thinking of sharing it with you.
Just for the heck of it, as tax season approaches, and accountants everywhere start thinking about marketing and getting new clients, they realize that the stuff that brings clients in, takes work, and time. And those are the two main things they can’t spare.
